Do you wear all of the clothes in your wardrobe? ….Really?
It’s said that we wear 20% of our wardrobe 80% of the time!
It’s so easy to do. We get used to our ‘safe’ outfits, the ones that fit, the ones that are ironed.
How many times do you wash an outfit and wear it almost straight away, every week? It’s easy to do.
We also get into the habit of wearing that one skirt with that one top and never trying it with anything else.
But with that 1 skirt in your wardrobe, you can create so many different looks.
I’ve taken 1 skirt below and given it 5 totally different looks for all year round.
A summer beach look
A casual youthful look
A weekend bbq with friends look
A night out with the girls look
A cosy autumn look

But there are even more looks available in this picture, start to mix the shoes round with the tops, start to add another layer, add a denim or soft suede biker style jacket. Then you have just opened up, that one skirt, to another 20 + outfits easily.
Once you realise what’s in your wardrobe again, you realise how much potential it has. You start to see how many outfits you really have.
The best place to start is to have a total wardrobe detox but if you don’t want to start a big detox yet, then start by picking out one particular garment such as a skirt or pair of trousers. Next go through all your tops and see what outfits you can create. Try it with different shoes and accessories for different looks. Just changing your shoes and bag, can change the look of your outfit dramatically.
